Earlier, the US President Joe Biden said that Russia “is seeking to interfere in the 2022 US congressional elections by spreading misinformation”. He also added that “there is a threat of a real shooting war, which is going to be as a consequence of a cyber breach.”

“In general, we consider Joe Biden's speech as an instruction to the US intelligence community to intensify work on Russia,” stressed the parliamentarian.

He added that Joe Biden had not provided any evidence of Russia’s interference in the US internal affairs.

“Unlike the US administration, we always provide concrete evidence of meddling in our elections. The Commission continues to monitor such attempts every day and has recently sent relevant materials to the Central Election Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Prosecutor General's Office. Information on foreign interference has also been provided to our CSTO counterparts,” stressed Vasilii Piskarev.
