“Several Western states are paving the ground for new attacks on Russia and imposition of new sanctions. But if our foreign partners do not care about proofs, then, unlike them, we have such proofs, and we will provide to our delegations in the OSCE PA and other international organizations specific information about foreign interference of the Western states in our internal affairs,” said Vasilii Piskarev Piskarev Vasily Ivanovich Piskarev

The Chairman of the Commission told how NGOs recognized as undesirable in Russia in circumvention of Russian legislation, were creating “projects for our citizens with a network of 'team sites' or, as we call them, 'schools of ideological infiltrators' on the territory of Eastern European states.”

“We have revealed facts of interference in the electoral process in Russia and training at a seminar in Finland of so-called “agents of influence” focused on participation in elections. We also revealed facts of training of Russian citizens at the webinars of the US funds on meddling in the election campaign,” Vasilii Piskarev said.

He also presented to his colleagues-representatives the CSTO member states instructions containing color revolutions techniques prepared by the instructors from Ukraine, Estonia, Norway, Serbia, and information how to avoid responsibility for drug crimes and methods of holding illegal actions to promote the drugs legalization.

“I should draw your attention to the trainings in Prague how to collect confidential and other classified information on the territory of the former Soviet republics. People who took part in such trainings, today they apply their specific skills in our countries, and, of course, such activities, including trainings, should not be unpunished. Members of the Commission have prepared a bill prohibiting participation of our citizens in the activities of undesirable organizations, it was adopted by the State Duma and yesterday it was approved by the Federation Council,” added Vasilii Piskarev.

The Chairman of the State Duma Commission told parliamentarians-representatives of the CSTO member states about the amendments to the Russian legislation aimed at countering foreign interference and protecting the sovereignty.

Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Petr Tolstoy Tolstoy Petr Olegovich Tolstoy

also took part in the meeting.

“We continue our coordination work, as former Soviet republics have almost common interests, and the accusations of the Western states are almost the same, and that is ridiculous. And we discuss our joint actions at international platforms. We coordinated, coordinate and will coordinate our work on countering disinformation, rudeness, anti-Russian, anti-Belarusian and other attempts to use international parliamentary platforms not for dialogue, but for unfounded accusations. I am very glad that our colleagues are interested in the experience of the Russian Federation in countering foreign interference in political processes, in particular in elections,” said Petr Tolstoy following the meeting.

He added that the meeting participants discussed joint steps to promote a declaration on the inadmissibility of the revival of Nazism and distortion of the history of World War II.
