convinced that the new coronavirus could be a product of a leak from a US
laboratory.
“There was a leak from one those laboratories that they had opened around the world. It would be right if the Government of the Russian Federation raised such issue,” said Viacheslav Volodin, Co-Chairman of the Council of Legislators of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the State Duma, at today’s meeting of the Council of Legislators.
“The virus was found in Wuhan. But the laboratory in Wuhan belongs to the USA, as the US authorities financed it. The US laboratories where scientists study, explore and maybe even create new biological weapons are now located in Georgia, in some counties of Eastern Europe. That must be taken under control,” stressed Viacheslav Volodin.
He is convinced that Russian scientists, who had managed to create effective vaccines, will be able to determine the origin of the virus and to clarify whether it has a natural origin or was created.
The Chairman of the State Duma added that the State Duma Committee on Health Protection should hold discussions with the World Health Organization: “WHO representatives should investigate the origins of the virus. And the second point, they should explain the causes of discrimination of Russian vaccines.”
Viacheslav Volodin also noted the fact that the infection came to Russia not from China, but from the European countries. He believes that the authorities of those countries should consider the issue of compensating Russia for all expenses connected with the fight against the pandemic.
“Did the infection come from China, were there many Chinese in Moscow, so where did it come from? From Europe, Italy, Germany, France. They are always ready to criticize Russia, but now they are silent when it comes to compensation for all expenses connected with the results of what they have done, made it happen, and now there is a virus outbreak and it ruins people’s lives,” said Viacheslav Volodin.
