Viacheslav Volodin: PACE President agreed to send representatives to observe elections to the State Duma

Vyacheslav Victorovich The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast) said that the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Rik Daems had sent him a letter and informed that PACE would send the Assembly’s representatives to observe the elections to the State Duma.

“Rik Daems expressed the willingness of the Assembly to take part in observation mission at the upcoming parliamentary elections in Russia,” the Chairman of the State Duma told journalists.

According to Viacheslav Volodin, Rik Daems, in his letter, once again stressed “the need for cooperation between the European states in the fight against the new coronavirus infection and ensuring vaccines availability for all people.”
