“Members of the Committee on International Affairs just have held a closed-door meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the United States of America Anatoly I.Antonov. We had a very detailed, in-depth exchange of views on all current issues of bilateral cooperation between Russian and the United States,” he said.
Leonid Slutskiy added that the Committee commended the work of the Russian Embassy in the United States and noted effectiveness of activities in the current situation.
“The Committee on International Affairs considers activities of our Embassy in Washington professional, effective, taking into account very difficult conditions to be worked within,” the parliamentarian said.
“We have analyzed and discussed the most burning issues. I am grateful for the comments and advice on Russia-US cooperation. All these ideas will be taken into account in the future work,” said Anatoly Antonov.
