. He said that any calls to other states for imposition of sanctions on Russian citizens, imposition of sanctions on owners of the largest Russian companies “destroy the economy and violate rights of Russian citizens”. That affects the country a lot.

“Therefore, we are convinced that such initiatives and actions should be punished and punished very strictly,” said the Chairman of the State Duma.

He recalled that in 2018, a draft law was adopted in the first reading, which, in particular, established criminal liability for implementation of sanctions on the territory of the Russian Federation. “There were different reactions of representatives of the business community, so we held consultations and reached decisions those enterprises and businessmen and foreign states had imposed sanctions on them, would be able to perform their activities in Russia without any barriers,” said Viacheslav Volodin.

The Chairman of the State Duma stressed that there should be adopted the law on responsibility for calls for imposition of sanctions against citizens of the Russian Federation.
