Viacheslav Volodin asked to explore the possibility of holding Russia-Iran Inter-parliamentary Commission via videoconference

Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast) does not exclude the possibility of holding the meeting of the Commission on Cooperation between the State Duma and the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran via videoconference.

“The current pandemic situation does not allow holding the planned personal meeting of the Inter-parliamentary Commission with colleagues from Iran. Taking into account special nature of the inter-parliamentary ties between the State Duma and the Iranian parliament, it would be right to study the possibility of holding this meeting via videoconference,” said Viacheslav Volodin.

The Chairman of the State Duma instructed the State Duma Committee on International Affairs to explore the possibility of holding a meeting of the Inter-parliamentary Commission in that format.
