that the amendment on primacy of the provisions of the Russian Constitution
over international agreements and decisions of international organizations was one
of the key amendments.
“We are convinced that such a norm is really important, and after its entry into force it would be right to analyze all interstate agreements within the framework of international organizations that have formed the legal field in the 1990s and are still applied even today,” said the Chairman of the State Duma.
He believes that it is necessary to notify all international organizations of the adopted amendment to the Constitution on primacy of Russian fundamental law over those international decisions that have already been adopted and will be adopted in the future.
“It is highly necessary for us to protect more effectively our sovereignty and not allow other states to interfere in our internal affairs,” concluded Viacheslav Volodin.
