He informed that the reason for the postponement of the event was the spread of coronavirus in some countries, which legislators are participating in the Forum.
“We have already held consultations with all factions, everyone supports this decision and understands that we shouldn’t create problems that may occur,” Viacheslav Volodin said.
As the Chairman of the State Duma noted the Forum would be postponed for a year, and it would also be possible to “return to this issue in the autumn” if the situation changed.
At the same time, the Chairman of the State Duma emphasized that the inter-parliamentary activity of parliamentarians would not stop. “We can communicate by phone, using other means,” he said.
