The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
and the President of the Islamic Republic
of Iran Hassan Rouhani took place in Tehran. Viacheslav Volodin conveyed
greetings and warmest wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Issues of the development of relations between the two states were discussed at the meeting.
The Chairman of the State Duma also informed Hassan Rouhani about the results of the meeting of the Russian-Iranian Inter-Parliamentary Commission, which was held earlier today.
In addition, before the meeting with the President of Iran, Viacheslav Volodin discussed the issues of development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Moscow and Tehran with his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani.
