“a barbarous provocation of the United States.”
“It will lead to nothing but an escalation of tension in the region. The US has crossed the red line, and this time the consequences can be very serious. Iran has already vowed to take revenge and give a “devastating response,” he stressed.
Leonid Slutskiy also noted that “it’s important for Tehran to avoid further steps that could lead to a sudden deterioration of the situation in the region and to take actions in the legal framework.”
The parliamentarian does not preclude the need to consider the whole situation in the UN Security Council.
He also expressed condolences to the Iranian nationals. “General Soleimani was a loyal son of his country,” said the Chairman of the Committee.
