said that Kiev’s signing of the ”Steinmeier Formula“ is a positive
signal, but only if Kiev is ready to follow it.
Kiev at a meeting of the Trilateral Contact
Group for settlement of the conflict in the Donbass in Minsk agreed to sign the Steinmeier Formula, determining the manner of entry into force of the law on the special status of Donbass. President
of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky confirmed that Kiev had signed the Steinmeier Formula.
“This is certainly a positive signal, but only if Kiev is able to implement the Steinmeier Formula.” And for me personally it is a big question if they are ready to follow it. We’ll see how Kiev will implement these agreements, and after that we will once again hope that the implementation of the Steinmeier Formula of the Minsk agreements will move towards implementation, and this is crucial for the people of the South-East of Ukraine,” he told reporters.
