The parliamentarian admitted that “those who will continue to promote some kind of anti-Russian idea” will try to “impede” at the January 2020 session, where the credentials of the Russian delegation will be approved for another year.

“We are ready for this, we are working with all political groups and most country delegations without exception,” said Leonid Slutskiy.

Russia was deprived of the right to vote in PACE in 2014 due to events in Ukraine and the Crimea. The credentials of the Russian delegation were restored during the 2019 PACE summer session.
