He clarified that “Russia will, of course, do that with full understanding and confidence that the Georgian authorities are also ready for this.”
Leonid Kalashnikov also stressed that “the meeting was held in a good friendly atmosphere, despite the fact that it was quite a brief meeting.”
The party “Alliance of Patriots of Georgia” will require as soon as possible on the part of the authorities of the republic to do everything to resolve the crisis in relations with Russia.
“We urge Georgian politicians to refrain from destructive actions that endanger our state. […] Many people would be affected, because of the actions of destructive forces,” said Giorgi Lomia, a member of the Alliance of Patriots of Georgia party in the Parliament of the Republic.
At the same time, he stressed that the parliamentarians will call on the leadership of the Georgian parliament to be declared the official dialogue group.
He also noted
that “the attack, the provocation against the Russian parliamentarian [Sergei]

and the boorish stunt of the journalist of the Rustavi 2 TV channel
are links of the same chain”.
“These are all provocations aimed at escalation of relations between Georgia and Russia. […] Destructive forces in Georgia once again have tried to do everything to undermine all the efforts that we have been establishing over the past three years. They have done everything to curtail cooperation between Georgia and Russia,” stressed Giorgi Lomia.
