She also stressed that such a dialogue is especially important in light of the upcoming Russia-Africa summit which is to be held in Sochi in October.

“We are not just ready to discuss topics, we are constructively interacting in a large number of areas. We have already agreed to create new friendship groups. We have agreed with a number of countries that commissions will be established at the state level and work in this direction will start today. It will not be just a conversation that will end when the Forum ends. It will be long-term cooperation, which will be very important for the country,” she concluded.

The 2nd International Forum ”Development of Parliamentarism“ is held on the initiative of the State Duma on July 1–3. This year, representatives of 132 states have come to the Forum. About 800 experts and parliamentarians, including 14 international parliamentary organizations, as well as 41 speakers representing the national parliaments take part in the events. The Forum will host the Russia-Africa parliamentary conference.
