also noted that the steps of President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will show whether a “window of opportunity” has appeared in relations between our two countries.

“A person who was elected President does not have time for a slow start, especially in a situation that has developed in Ukraine where civilians are shot, where blood of people living in Donetsk and Lugansk regions is shed, where there are a lot of problems in Ukraine, ” said Viacheslav Volodin.

“This can not help but worry us. Russia has a huge border with Ukraine, Ukraine has the longest border with Russia. We expect from the elected President [Vladimir Zelensky] to take concrete steps to cease the hostilities, to restore peace, to fulfill the Minsk agreements, ” the Chairman of the State DumI pointed out.

“We believe that if a person wanted to be elected and took obligations to the people, especially in such difficult time, he should understand what is happening in politics, what he needs to do in such situation,” he stressed and noted that Russia is not indifferent to what is happening in Ukraine.

“Our brothers live there, and we wish peace come to Ukraine as soon as possible, so that people can live better, and these are in many respects the tasks that Vladimir Zelensky has to solve,” concluded Viacheslav Volodin.
