She recalled that Russia is a neighboring state of Japan, so the border regions will take the abolition of visas positively.

Earlier, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov after the talks with his Japanese counterpart Taro Kono said that Moscow had suggested Tokyo introducing a visa-free regime and was looked forward to continuing discussions on this issue.
