Chairman of the State Duma visited Mikhail Krasnoshchekov in hospital in Belgrade
Viacheslav Volodin expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery to the Russian citizen injured by Kosovo special forces

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
on June 3 visited in a hospital in Belgrade the Russian representative of the UN mission Mikhail Krasnoshchekov, who was
injured during the operation of the Kosovo special forces in Serbian municipalities
in the north of the region.
The Chairman of the State Duma expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery and words of support to the injured Russian citizen.
“It is necessary that the United Nations should recognize the fact that you, their employee, the diplomat was injured, as everyone did, so that the norms of international law would be implemented in the territory of Kosovo. And should admit that you opposed military outrage. You, as our citizen, as a member of the UN mission, were doing your duty. I wish you a speedy recovery,” said Viacheslav Volodin
On May 28, Kosovo special forces detained and assaulted Russian citizen Mikhail Krasnoshchekov. As a Russian member of the UN mission, Mikhail Krasnoshchekov has diplomatic immunity. He is currently getting treatment in Belgrade.
