of Belgrade Monument and the Monument to Soviet Soldiers.
“We are grateful to our Serbian friends for their careful attitude to the graves of our fathers and grandfathers, who gave their lives for our freedom. This is a lesson for countries that have begun to forget, thanks to whom they live now and build the future,” the Chairman of the State Duma told reporters at the end of the ceremony.
“Unfortunately, the world still faces cynicism and ingratitude,” he said.
According to Viacheslav Volodin, “the recent act of vandalism in Kharkiv — the destruction of the bust of Marshal Zhukov — is condemned by anyone who honors the memory of the war heroes.” He also expressed confidence that the Ukrainian people will give an assessment to the destroyers of collective memory.
