commented on the decision of the WADA Executive Committee on the status of RUSADA:

“Confirmation of RUSADA compliance status is one more step towards the completion of this long-running history of doping samples. The decision is fair. The Russian side has done a lot of work in the fight against doping, which was conducted in cooperation with international sports organizations.

We hope that the effective dialogue with WADA will be continued, and the situation with the samples will be finally resolved.

We are still waiting for the restoration of reputation and lost positions in international federations, and this is a long and difficult process. First of all, I am talking about athletics and Paralympic sports, where appropriate steps will be taken on the basis of their own roadmaps. The return of RUSADA accreditation is important, but not the only item there.

An important result for our country was a new approach to the moral, cultural and physical education of young athletes, which promotes intolerance to doping. Russian anti-doping legislation has become one of the toughest and the most progressive in the world. Moscow anti-doping laboratory has been completely modernized. Our athletes continue to win medals in international sports competitions in a tough fight.“
