The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
will take part in the 2nd Conference of Speakers of the Parliaments of Afghanistan, China, Iran, Pakistan, Russia and Turkey on counter-terrorism and strengthening regional cooperation.
The event takes place in Tehran, the Islamic Republic of Iran. Parliamentarians will discuss the experience of legislative regulation and modern strategies to fight against terrorism, as well as issues of strengthening interregional cooperation. At the conference, a declaration will be adopted.
Bilateral meetings of the Chairman of the State Duma with the speakers of the parliaments of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkey will take place on the margins of the Conference.
The first regional conference of the heads of parliaments (chambers of parliaments) on the fight against terrorism and interregional cooperation was held in Islamabad, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on December 24, 2017.
