In his opinion, there is a growing understanding among European countries that an extremely dangerous and unpredictable neighbor such as Ukraine, capable of insane actions contrary to common sense, ready to completely destroy the entire system of collective security, has appeared near them.
“In this situation, the hope of preserving peace and stability in the region is increasingly associated with Russia, which is pursuing a responsible and balanced policy, despite any provocations,” said the parliamentarian.
The German newspaper Die Welt, citing European diplomats, wrote that Germany and France opposed the introduction of new anti-Russian sanctions in connection with the incident in the Sea of Azov.
