informed about the decision of the CSTO PA Council ”to coordinate
our positions“ and to promote an already joint position in the OSCE PA.
According to Leonid Kalashnikov, ”this is very important, [and] will help
us.“

said that at this plenary meeting, ”we agreed four [model] laws, which
were reflected in recommendations, in very important and crucial areas, such as the fight against terrorism.“ According to him, the unification of the legislation of the CSTO member countries will contribute to strengthening
international security.
Thus, in particular, the CSTO will unify the rules for recognizing organizations as terrorist. As Vladimir Shamanov explained, “a single country can no longer recognize [a terrorist organization] until it is agreed by the leadership of the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.”
The 11th meeting of the CSTO PA, chaired by Viacheslav Volodin, was held in Moscow on October 30. The meeting was attended by the heads of the parliaments of the CSTO member states: President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ara Babloyan, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Dastan Jumabekov, and a delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as a delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia, which participates as an observer.
Earlier, Viacheslav Volodin said that the next meeting of the CSTO PA was proposed to be held upon the invitation of the Kyrgyz side in Bishkek in the spring of 2019, and in the fall in Armenia.
