The group of the State Duma on relations with the Parliament of the Republic of Korea canceled the participation in the reception organized on behalf of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the Foundation of Korea that was scheduled for October 1.
The illegal detention of the Russian ship ”Sevastopol“ in the port of Busan is a reason for such decision.
Earlier it was reported that the South Korean authorities had forbidden without explanation the Russian ship ”Sevastopol“ to leave the port of Busan, where it had stayed for repairing since August. There are 14 team members, all citizens of the Russian Federation, on board of the ship.
Russia demands to abolish immediately the ban imposed on the cargo ship ”Sevastopol“ to leave the South Korean port.
