Summing up the results of the first session of the Commission on Cooperation between the State

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
noted the effectiveness of the negotiations.
”The agenda, which we have discussed in detail today, certainly brings the positions of our countries closer and helps to develop bilateral
relations,“ he stated.
“That is why let’s continue this dialog taken into account that the next meeting of the Commission on Cooperation between the State Duma and the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be held in Iran at the beginning of 2019,” he informed.
In his turn, Chairman of the Majlis Ali Larijani stated that ”we have raised the level of our cooperation to a practical one, now we would like to speed up the progress and the executive power and parliament should contribute to this“. ”In the future, we need not only economic interaction, but also persistence in the implementation of decisions taken,“ he stressed.
Speaking about the future sessions of the Commission that will be held in Russia, the Chairman of the State Duma noted that ”it would be right to hold meetings in the regions, because you will better know our country, get acquainted with its tourist attractions and at the same time could discuss regional cooperation issues which is one of the goals of our joint Commission”.
Chairman of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Larijani supported the initiative of the State Duma Chairman to hold sessions in regions. ”We will also try to create an opportunity to acquaint you with our regions,“ he said.
He also asked the participants of the session to concentrate on realization of agreements achieved.
The first meeting was held by Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin and Chairman of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Larijani. That day they had already had a bilateral meeting where they discussed the development of the inter-parliamentary relations between Russia and Iran.
